Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for unlawful purposes; (b) reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code; (c) upload content you do not have rights to; (d) abuse, harass or harm others; (e) interfere with the Service's operation.

You retain ownership of content you upload (book covers, notes, chats). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display that content solely to operate the Service for you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. You can report content from inside the app; we will review and act on reports within 24 hours and may remove content or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

The in-app AI chat generates responses using third-party large language models. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied on as professional advice.

If we offer paid features, they are billed through your Apple ID per Apple's standard subscription terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests must be submitted to Apple.

• These Terms are between you and Make Sense Reading, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.
• In the event the Service fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Service, including product liability, legal compliance, and intellectual property claims.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from in-app Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Make Sense Reading shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence to the extent required, and otherwise by applicable international law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post changes here and update the "Last updated" date.
